This came back to New Zealand with a family who had been stationed in the New Guinea Highlands....it is around about 30 plus years old I was told. The quiver is made of Bamboo and is 32" in length with a diameter of 2 1/4". There are seven spears ranging from 40 1/2" in length to nearly 56". All have Bamboo shafts with hardwood spear extensions bar one that is metal tipped.. There is some very nice binding work on most of the spears. There is also one piece of split bamboo with feathers on the end...has a break about 6" from base which could be glued...not sure what is use would have been.....wind indicator?. Two of the spears are marked with designs using pigments. Definitely a genuine "used set"showing wear and usage signs and age.
