This has obviously come from the centre of a magazine as can be seen by the rusty staple marks and centre fold. A wonderful piece depicting the fear in Europe at the time...the nasty creeping engulfing German soldier leering into a European city...and the stalwart RAF Spitfire looking down on the menace below...maybe in Holland or France I'd say....note the poor folk scurrying for the boats! A real classic...a must for any collector of World War Two items and memorabilia. Framed 20 1/2" x 16 1/2" and noted on back as "THE COMBAT, NOVEMBER 6th 1939. The name on the print is ILLANWORTH.
