This "MEMORETTE" Holder was obviously marketed commercially to businesses and I would think dates to the late 1800's or early 1900's. It is made of wood and curved on top as a writing slope. The paper memo cylinder was held underneath and you wound it on with each memo or invoice etc completed. The item measures 11" x 9" and curves from a height of 3 1/2" at the top to 1" at the bottom. A wonderful old gizmo for anyone into writing or semi-mechanical type pieces. Has the original name plaque which is self explanatory.
