Pathe Freres London Phonographs Canister / Tin - Circa 1900-1910

A super old cardboard cylinder container with paper label featuring noted 'Stars' and with tin lid. The lid label has pretty much totally disintegrated but the canister label whilst having a chunk missing is otherwise in good condition.The cylinder is 4 1/2" tall with a diameter is 4". Pathé or Pathé Frères, styled as PATHÉ!) is the name of various French businesses founded and originally run by the Pathé Brothers of France from 1896. In the early 1900s, Pathé became the world's largest film equipment and production company, as well as a major producer of phonograph records. In 1908, Pathé had invented the news reel that was shown in theaters prior to a feature film.
