Stunning hard to find Elsa Schiaparelli bridal gown ad in which Elsa endorses the Kaiser-Frazer automobile line! First line of the text reads: 'Schiaparelli commands~and the world of fashion follows.' It then goes on to give a short bio sketch of Schiaparelli and list her comments regarding the Kaiser-Frazer car designs reflecting '..something new and refreshing, the touch of tomorrow..' In the bottom right corner is a beautiful illustration of a bride and groom emerging from their Kaiser-Frazer car on their wedding day. The Schiaparelli bridal gown is described as 'Tulle wedding dress and faille jacket with cowl and train. Short tulle face veil.' The ad is quite large, measuring 10 1/2" x 14", full page color, carefully removed from the August, 1948 Ladies Home Journal and scanned (no cropping; limits to visual created by scanner table only). The ad is in outstanding condition, with no damage or discoloration, suitable for framing. Shipped in a non-migrating vinyl rigid sleeve and mailer for a safe journey.
