Strombecker Dollhouse Vanity & Bench - Blonde Maple 1953 1" Scale

Great looking Strombecker dollhouse vanity & bench set is made in 1" scale of wood and painted with cream gloss enamel. The vanity has a new style nickeloid mirror - it's frameless and round. The vanity top is curved as well and has an impressed drawer. Three impressed drawers on each side flank the vanity.

Made in 1" scale, it measures 5 1/4" t x 3 3/4" w x 1 1/2" d and is in very good condition with a foggy mirror and light wear to the vanity.

The rectangular bench has a molded seat cushion and 4 straight legs. It measures 1 3/8" t x 2" w x 1 1/4" d and is also in very good condition with marks on one leg – otherwise nice.

Strombecker, an American manufacturing company from the early 1900s, began production of wooden 1" scale dollhouse furniture in 1931. This vanity & bench set is from their 1953 Deluxe Furniture line. They produced living room, dining room, kitchen, bedroom and bathroom furnishings. It proved to be a successful venture and production continued until 1962. They produced a wide variety of doll house furniture and accessories in both 1" scale and 3/4" scale (added in 1934) mirroring the decorating tastes of the times.
