Rare Antique Dollhouse Biedermeier Boulle Extension Table by Kestner Mid Victorian 1" Scale

This rare Kestner dollhouse Biedermeier boulle extension table is finished in rosewood stain with beautiful gilt transfer work adorning the table top. A white band borders the bottom of the apron. Underneath, a round bulbous pedestal is mounted to an ebony stained curved base with tiny block feet - one of the narrower feet being a replacement.

The table extends via accordion shaped wooden slats held together by fabric tape. Truly an ingenious design! When closed, two metal hooks mounted on the bottom of the table latch to keep the table shut.

Made in 1" scale in the 1850s - 1860s, it measures 2 1/2" tall x 3 5/8" diameter. When extended, it measures nearly 6 1/2" wide, however, it is missing the extension board so it can only be used as a round table. It is in excellent condition otherwise with a beautiful, shiny finish.

Layaway is available on purchases of $100 or more.

Washington state residents will be charged sales tax which will be determined by buyer's location. It will be added after the purchase order is submitted.
