Goebel Embracing Child Figure

Wonderful old Goebel figurine, Embracing Child. 9" tall, circa 1972-1976. Love is the best word to describe this figure, close to Madonna and Holy Child. The theme of mother's and child's unbreakable bond!! It is marked BYJ 36 and the number 48 which are incised in the clay. I believe it is the painter's mark, M. The small stylized bee level with the top of the V over Goebel with W Germany underneath, under the glaze and the number 1959 incised in the clay. There are no chips or cracks but over all crazing under the glaze. Priced with the crazing in mind. Still beautiful to display!! Thank you for visiting Dibble and Dabble!!
