Morten's Studios Dachshund Dog Figurine
This is a Vintage high quality Morten's Studios Dachshund Doxie Dog Figurine. He has personality plus........what a cutie! He measures 3 1/2" tall x about 4" in length.
He is in beautiful tones of chocolate brown. He is sitting up on his 2 front paws and his back legs & tail are curled around him and he is sitting on the side of his behind. He is in wonderful condition, marked with a foil sticker / label with Royal Design by Morten's Studio. He is stamped on the bottom Copyright by Morten's Studios. This doggie has Beautiful sculpting & glazing as well as the dog's sturdy weight indicate it is Morten's Dog.
Oscar Morten was a fine sculptor of animal and human figures. He was a native of Sweden but moved to the USA where he formed a commercial gift-ware studio in Chicago in 1931. These figurines were made with a ceramic plaster like composite material over a metal base.
