"The Black Prince" Made by Sadler England / Pottery Mug / Stein
This is a Pottery Mug / Stein of the "The Black Prince" and is made by Sadler England.
It shows the Prince on his Horse is in Royal Robes as well as the horse and has written below the Horse " The Black Prince Edward Plantagenet 1330-1376 ". and has a verse on the back that reads " Edward Prince of Wales ( The Black Prince ) Elder Son of Edward III. by His Wife, Joan Holland, " The Fair Maid of Qent", he was father of Richard II. a founder Knight of the Carler. Commanded English right wing at battle of Creey, aged 16, won battle of Peiloiers 1850. His body lies buried in Canterbury Cathedral. It has Gold outlined on the top of the Mug on the Handle and around the bottom. It is marked on the bottom "RWL London" and Sadler England. It measures 5 1/2 tall, 2 3/4 across the top, 3 7/8 across the bottom and 11 1/4" around the lower part of the Mug / Stein. It is in great condition with no Damage or problems on this Mug.
