Sterling Souvenir Spoon "LET `ER BUCK" - of "Billings, Montana"

This is a Sterling Souvenir Spoon "LET `ER BUCK - of "Billings, Montana". It measures 5 & 5/8" in length and is in very nice condition. It has a Broncing Rodeo Rider on a Bucking Horse, hanging on and below that has a Mounted Steers Head. The Bowl is Engraved "Billings Mont." and the back of the handle is plain. It is clearly Marked "Sterling" and has a Trademark for the Company "H.H. Tammen Curio Company" and is amazing a Trademark that we do not remember encountering before. It looks like a Little Person / Figure for a Company Trademark. This Company was located in Denver, Colorado and was in Business from c. 1881 to 1962 and is now called the Thrift Novelty Company. It first began by H H Tammen as a curio Shop, the business was expanded to include the manufacture and wholesaling of souvenir novelties and jewelry. among their widely distributed souvenirs were Sterling Silver Souvenir Spoons depicting people and places of the West. By 1887, after several moves for expansion, a museum established in connection with the business, advertised that "it was lighted by electric light" and was considered a place no traveler should miss. The business managed to survive the panic of 1893 and went on to become the largest of its kind in the West.
