The figures in the illustrations are portrayed as children, so the book may be intended for a juvenile audience, but it is still suitable for adults. It is Beautifully Illustrated and would be a joy for a young person or an adult to read the stories. Good condition with some rubbing and soiling to the covers. Wear and rubbing on spine and edges of covers. Minor edge wear, mostly pulling to the spine and light bumping to the corners. Hinges are weak but still intact. The pages have broken apart from the spine on the inside front cover and on the back inside cover and there is one detached plate. A little spotting within and a few of the pages stuck in the middle part a little to the next page at the beginning of the book. The page edges have a marbleized finish. These sell for up to $80 at Internet booksellers.
