1890's Victorian Silverplated Handled Cake Basket

This is a 1890's Footed Victorian Silverplated Handled Cake Basket measures 9 & 3/8" across. It stands up on 4 very fancy feet. It appears to have been re-plated so the plating is pretty nice. It was coated with lacquer to retards tarnishing which makes a seal from the air which in turn makes it a bit more difficult to polish. The lacquer should probably be removes with A paint removing product and then polishing will be a snap.
