1909 Insurance Company Shreve & Co Sterling Letter opener
This is a 1909 Insurance Company Shreve & Co Sterling Letter Opener. The good Old Days, when companies gave you something besides a bill ! This wonderful ornate Letter Opener is 7 & 1/2" long and in great condition. It is clearly marked " Shreve & Co. & Sterling ".
It is marked from the Insurance Company " Compliments of Law and Crown Insurance Co. / San Francisco Conflagration Loss / 49 / Paid in Full $2,347,285.00 / Harry H. Smith Manager.
It is dated " 1909" , so it could have been a Souvenir item that it was given or sold at the Alaska Yukon Pacific Exposition in Seattle that same year.
