This is (4) Fine Coin Silver 1870's Individual Salt Cellars / Salters (Salts). This 19th Century Coin Silver Salt Dish or Salt Dip or Salt Cellar or Salter is a minimum of 90% Silver. "Coin Silver" was made from coins that were melted and crafted into objects and is guaranteed to be 90% Silver. By 1870's Sterling had all but replaced Coin Silver. This is a small, very detailed salt and measures 1 & 3/8" across the widest point and 7/8" across the opening. A fancy script engraved Monogram of " H B C " Monogram adorns this precious little salt. The engine turned engraving on the salt is precise and very fine in design. It looks very much like a miniature Silver Dog Dish. It is in fine condition and is marked "Coin" on the bottom.
