Vintage Advertising Tin Calumet Baking Powder General Foods

This is a vintage baking powder advertising tin still full, never opened! It is red with silver lettering.and reads- "Calumet Double Acting Baking Powder". There is an Indian head with a silver head-dress on, tipped in black. Across the bottom there is a banner that reads "See Back Panel For Recipe Book Offer". Under that it reads 14 oz. New Wt - with the rest being covered by rust. The back includes directions for ordering a recipe book for 15 cents. The very bottom on the right side, is written "General Foods Corp. White Plains, N.Y. Made in U.S.A. Pat. 2,793,121 & 2,933,396.

Tin is round and stands 5 3/8 inches tall and is almost 3 inches in diameter. .

This wonderful old tin definitely shows its age as it is faded and starting to rust in spots. Still, the colors are bright. That being said, this would make a great addition to a rustic country kitchen collection. Possibly even a start of a collection!
