This an elegant pair of painted armchairs made by the beginning of the 20th century from solid beech, each with tall arched seatback standing upon the large serpentine shaped seat flanked by padded armrests and supported by cabriole legs on escargot feet connected to each other by an adorable X-shaped stretcher providing stability and sturdiness. Note minor chips and scratches here and there due to the age. The reddish upholstery is not original and in slight used condition. Circa date 1910. Dimensions: 45 "high/ 19"seat height/ 26"wide/ 22 ½"deep.
