Please Take 50% Off The Featured Price. This is a very nice painted Bookcase from the second half of the 18th century made from solid walnut. This massive piece consists of a flat molded cornice sitting upon a straight façade boasting a stunning floral and foliate embellishment from the upper frieze to the pair of paneled glass doors and apron below. The pair of doors is revealing a very spacious storage compartment with 3 sturdy shelves. The pediment consists of a nicely scrolled apron supported by the classical cabriole legs. Note several scratches, dents and chips can be seen due to the age. Note that one glass pane is original. Circa date 1790. Dimensions 84 ½"high/ 55"wide with crown/ 50"wide body/ 23"deep.
