19th Century French Antique Transition Style Gilded Sofa

This is a very pretty and elegant gilded Sofa made during the middle part of the 19th century from solid beech adorably adorned with a floral crest standing upon the large rectangular seatback and seat flanked by padded armrests and supported by graceful cabriole legs. This item is commonly called a transition piece due to the fact that it boasts both Louis XV and Louis XVI style patterns. The upholstery is in used condition and would have to be replaced. Circa date 1860. Dimensions: 38"(height) x 17 5/8"(seat height) x 51 ½"(wide) x 24"(depth)
