This very pretty semi-porcelain 9" plate is scalloped and has a raised edge-design in the pottery that is decorated with gold accents. The blue underglaze is a dark navy and nicely flowed with small nosegays of flowers. This plate is in really excellent condition. The mark is that of New Wharf Pottery, an English pottery company, and dates from between 1890 and 1894. The pattern is called "Nelson."
