This ironstone pottery biscuit jar has copper luster decoration around the base. There is a very dark, almost black, underglaze with lots of red, some pale blue, some pale yellow, and gold decoration applied on top of the glaze. The motif is floral. This jar has a white brass neck, lid, and handle. It is in excellent original condition; it has no issues. The marks do not really identify the maker, but they are similar to Mason's marks. The age is early nineteenth century. This jar is 7 1/2" tall and 5 1/2" in diameter.
