This ca. 1890-1930 porcelain-fronted pin is probably a china-painting effort from a hobbyist of the era. The young lady depicted in profile is quite pretty. Her dress and large hat are in colors of lavender, white, and green. This may be a romanticized portrait. It is not signed. The backing is brass; the porcelain piece is held to the back with prongs. There is a C-catch, true to the period. The pin measures 2 1/8" X 1 3/4" and is in excellent original condition.
