White Madeira Linen Tablecloth with Filet Lace Inserts

This beautiful cloth is made of very fine, pure white linen of the type called Madeira. It is around 100 years old and is Italian in origin. It has a 3" edging of figural filet lace and many filet lace inserts. Most are of a soldier's head. Around the center of the cloth, however, are many figural inserts depicting a dog, a griffin, and other creatures. There are inserts of Venetian lace as well, and cutwork embroidery. The cloth is in excellent original condition. It measures 72" X 84." The cloth has recently been washed, starched, and ironed. It is ready to place on your table.
