This pretty old necklace dates from the 1930's and is probably of Czech manufacture, although there are no marks. It is in excellent original condition with its original screw clasp. The metal is brass with a rhodium coating; it is meant to look like old silver. It has darkened nicely with age. The stones are a mottled green glass or pottery and are probably meant to simulate jade or turquoise. The larger stones are prong-set; the smaller ones bezel-set. The back is fancy faux-filigree. The necklace is 17" long.
