Cini Sterling Zodiac Virgo Pin
This Italianate pin featuring a cherub and plume bears the legend "Virgo" on a banner along the bottom. The pin is part of a series of Zodiac pieces designed by Guglielmo Cini during the 1940's and 1950's. Cini came to the U.S. from Italy in 1922 and set up his jewelry business in Boston. His jewelry is considered to be very high quality and is highly collectable. This pin is in excellent original condition. It is sterling silver and marked "sterling by Cini" on the back. It measures 1 3/4" X 2 1/4." It weighs .57 oz.
