These hard-to-find earrings date from the Depression Era and are probably Czech in origin. The metal is brass with white metal posts and clutches that are not original (the earrings have been recently converted from screws). The brass has darkened to the color of "old gold:" there is yellow enamel decoration above and below the stones, which are yellow cabochons of cloudy Czech glass, and are bezel-set. These earrings are in excellent condition. They measure 2 1/4" long X 5/8" wide. There are no marks.
