Mexican Sterling Ewer Posy Pin

This sterling silver brooch is in the shape of a pitcher with a long spout. It is hollow and open at the top. One may fill it with water and wear a flower in it; hence the name, posy pin. There is a safety catch so it is secure. It is marked "Mexico Sterling Lopez" and bears the Eagle mark #25. (Lopez pieces usually have #26 as their mark.) This pin dates from between 1947 and 1979. The pin is in excellent original condition and does not leak. It measures 2 3/4" tall X 2" across X 3/8" thick. It weighs .69 oz.
