This celluloid plastic vanity tray is a 9 1/4" X 6 1/2" oval with a flared rim, and it is 3/4" deep. The tray is an orangish-brown, the lip is a yellow color with a perlite finish. The lip has a geometric shape and is decorated with a raised Art Deco design accented with black. The tray dates from between 1920 and 1936. There is a pretty lace doily sandwiched between the two pieces of glass that form the tray's bottom. The lace is hand-trimmed. The center has a colorful needlepoint design. This tray is in excellent original condition. The lace is a little brown in one spot where it must have gotten wet at some point.
