This large solid brass pin dates from the Gibson Girl Era, or from between 1900 and 1920. Ladies wore these on a cloak or sash, sometimes as a clasp. This pin is molded brass with an etched daisy design and applied decoration. An octagonal European-cut purple glass stone is bezel-set in the center. This pin is in excellent condition with no verdigris and no scratches on the stone. The clasp is a C-catch, but there is a spring to the pin bar, and the clasp is tight. This pin is a nice size, not too big, measuring 2 3/4" long X 1 1/2" wide.
