Edwardian Brass Sash Pin with Faux Turquoise Stones

This pin is a period piece, dating from between 1900 and 1920. The metal is brass that has darkened to an "old gold" finish. The eight cabochon stones are a pretty shade of greenish-blue and look very much like aged Persian turquoise, although they are faux. The pin has a center prong that creates the look of a buckle; this pin looks great as a scarf clasp. There is raised Art Nouveau style detailing on the surface of the pin as well. There is a C-catch rather than a safety catch. The pin is in excellent original condition. It measures 2 3/4" X 2" X 1/2" thick.
