Metlox Poppytrail Rooster Coffee Pot

Here is a fine example of the Poppytrail Rooster coffee pot with lid from Metlox Potteries of Manhattan Beach, California. This California Pottery was founded in the early twentieth century and continued until 1989. The popular perky rooster design began in 1934. This coffee pot has a shiny glaze with a hand-painted red, green, and yellow rooster under the glaze. The piece is marked on the bottom. This pot is in excellent original condition; there are no visible issues. It measures 11 1/2" tall, 9" across the spout and handle, and 5" in diameter.
