These little bifocals sit atop your nose with no ear pieces. They fold up; a catch holds them in place. They are attached to a 24" long gold-filled chain with another 4" extension; the chain hangs 16" down. The chain is similar to a rosary chain. These glasses may be carried in a shirt pocket while the chain is around your neck. These frames and chain are in excellent condition; modern lenses can be made to fit into these frames. The glasses are 4" across (but, of course, open to fit on your nose) and are 1 3/4" wide. These glasses and chain are from the 1920's. The workmanship is excellent; the clasp and fittings were cast and then finished to resemble the filigree work done on gold and silver jewelry during the era.
