This ladies' beaded handbag dates from around 1920. It has the same design on both sides, a vase-like cartouche outlined with green leaves and topped by red roses on a black ground. The bottom edge is trimmed with a looped beaded fringe in black. The work is all hand-work. The bag is lined with soft, white kid leather; the tiny stitches are amazing. There is a beaded slide that fits over the handle for closure. This bag is in such excellent condition that it was probably never used. It measures 18 1/2" long X 8 1/2" wide. This one is a treasure for your collection; I can find nothing wrong with it. The kid lining gives the bag a lot of extra strength.
