Norwegian Sterling and Red Enamel Pin
Aksel Holmsen is the designer of this distinctive pin. Holmsen is an important Norwegian designer; his work exhibits excellent design and craftsmanship. The guilloche enamel on this piece is a beautiful deep red color. The pin is pre-1970 and could be much older; it's C-catch and tube hinge are the type used 100-120 years ago. The pin is sterling silver with a gold wash. It is in perfect condition. It measures 1 1/2" X 2 1/2."
