These medium-weight cotton napkins are probably Chinese in origin and date after World War II, probably from the 1960's or 1970's. They are of excellent quality and have been used very little. They are a uniform beige in color and each measures 14" square. This is a good size for a luncheon or dessert napkin. The lace is a hand-made French-style needle lace; there is a larger piece of lace in each corner with an edging (hand-sewn with buttonhole stitch) that goes all the way around. These napkins have been washed, starched, and ironed and are ready to use for your luncheon.
