Large Copper Tea Kettle with Movable Handle

This vintage copper tea kettle is in usable condition with no leaks and its tin lining intact under a calcium crust. It has a nice patina of age. There are many minor dents and one large dent on one side (shown in the photographs). There is some solder at the top of the spout, indicating an old repair. The hinged handle is also made of copper. The lid has a wooden knob. This kettle is at least 60 years old and possibly much older. It holds a gallon of water. It measures 10" tall with the handle adding another 2" to the height; 12" across the spout, and 10" in diameter. This is a very decorative piece. It would be at home in a country kitchen or restaurant, yet is is completely functional as well as decorative.
