T. Allom 19th Century Steel Engraving, The British Encampment on Ingao Shan from China Illustrated

This scene is entitled, "The British Encampment on Ingao-Shan". Excellent condition. Framed under glass.

The frame is a vintage, shadow-box style and the interior is gilded while the exterior is painted a wonderful "Chinese Red".When hung - all you see is the gilded interior framing. This is one of 7 recently acquired that are all framed the same way. The matte is a double matte. The matte closest to the image is a gold color while the off-white matte has a light yellowing from age. The the other 6 engravings are each listed separately.
