Antique German Jasperware Plaque with Lady, Grapes, and Angels
With her left hand she is holding onto a floating angel and with her right, raise arm, is holding onto a grapevine. To her right is another free-floating angel hoding a tray of grapes above his head. Not sure what the significance is of this scene but it certainly warrants a place in your jasperware collection!
Made by an unknown company, this unique plaque is 7" x 6 3/4" and has smooth edges. It features 2 small sets of hanging holes on the top edge. We think that it might be intended to be framed. It is marked on the reverse with the single word, 'Germany'.
It is in excellent condition, with no damages whatsoever.
The last photo shows an array of plaques to give you an idea how well they mix in spite of differences in color, shape, or subject matter!
