Possibly an Alice Caviness design, this style of Art Deco period jewelry was made in Germany and typical used a 925 or better grade of silver with enamel. This one is marked '935'. The addition of glittery marcasites make these type of pins something truly special.
This pin measures 2" high and is very 3-dimensional in its layered construction. Nice darkened patina on the silver lends nice contrast to the pale body color and different shades of blue of the wings. This wading bird is shown in a typical, one leg up pose.
Condition is excellent in all ways.
