Terracotta Sculpted Figure of Man on Donkey - Joseph?
Looking like a biblical Joseph astride a laden donkey, this beautiful rendered sculpture has been executed in terracotta (a semi-fired terracotta colored clay).

The sculptor captured every little detail and nuance of this lovely piece. The expression on the donkey's face as well as on the man's is wonderful done.
It is marked under the base 'Made in Italy'. It is in excellent condition with a few very unnoticeable chips along the very bottom edge of the base and none to either the donkey or man.
