This extraordinary cuff bracelet features an extremely large and extraordinarily beautiful turquoise stone. The matrix is soooo pretty!
The stone itself measures 1 7/8" x 1 3/4" and the top of the bracelet is 2 1/2" x 1 15/16". It's 5/16" thick. The inside measurement is 2 1/4" x 1 5/8". Because the sterling silver is quite thick and heavy, there is not much "give" - thus the recommendation that it be for a smaller wrist. The inside circumference is 6 5/8". The opening is 1" so if you know you can put a bangle like this on sideways with that opening size, then it will fit your wrist.
It weighs 99.1 gm!
(If you are not sure about the size, take another bracelet that fits you, measure it and compare to the dimensions given here.)
This Navajo bracelet is signed both with the silver content (sterling) and the maker's initial "J". We are still researching the signature but it has been suggested that it could be James Livingstons, Verdy Jake, James Jackson, Jean Dickson, Jimmie Long, or Jerry J. Frank - all of whom are listed artists using the "J" signature.
To date, our research shows that the style, finishing technique, and stone selection is closest to the work of Verdy Jake and that the stone is from the Royston mine.
Although we are not sure of the artist and which mine the stone came from, we are 100% sure that this piece is truly exceptional and we guarantee that if you were to wear this bracelet you would not go unnoticed!
