Many of my customers choose to commemorate significant birthdays or anniversaries with these artist designed spoons and forks. Each design relates to a Christmas theme and in fact, says "Julen" with the year on the reverse side (Julen is the Danish word for Christmas). A perfect way to celebrate and acknowledge each family member or to start a new tradition. Generations can arrive at the celebratory feast and see themselves honored by a fork and spoon at their place setting! A great way to create memories. And what a delightful addition to the much anticipated dessert course! Coffee and pie or cake or pudding! Marketed through the Jensen shops, this is the 1952 fork for the Christmas series by A. Michelsen, Denmark. It is gold wash on sterling silver with the design work done in enamel. This one is called "Santa and the Reindeer" and it was designed by Arne Ungermann. Lovely design - who doesn't like Rudoph and Santa! Excellent condition. Keep in mind, that Michelsen no longer produces or designs these sets. Irreplaceable!
