French Limoges Antique Handpainted Wall Plaque w/ Irises or Orchids - Artist Signed

This is a classic French, handpainted Limoges wall plaque charger. It is signed by the artist.

It is completely handpainted and prominently signed. It measures 9 3/4" in diameter and has a hanging hole on the back rim. It is marked on the back with the Flambeau mark for 1890 to 1914. This piece is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs. On the back side near the rim is an area of glaze skip - not a chip (see photo).

The first photo was taken with the flash and the second in natural ambient light. The artist's signature on the lower right quadrant is REX.

The flowers are either orchids or irises in lovely lavender to royal purple shades. The rim is edged in a 1/4" - 3/8" wide gold leaf border.
