Antique Meiji Period Japanese Ginbari Cloisonne Vase - Hallmarked

This beautiful piece is done in the Ginbari foil technique with enamels in a manner similar to cloisonne.

The colors are gorgeous. The background is an extremely pale minty green. On top are vibrant mauves and pinks with a variety of shades of light to dark green foliage and a touch of yellow and a teensy bit of blue.

Once again taking photos with or without the flash leaves us wanting to represent the true color at its best. The first photo shows the vase side by side, one shot with the flash and one without. The true color lies between the two photos!

The vase measures 5" tall. It has a most pleasing tapering shape. It is surprisingly fine condition. The photos clearly show any anomalies that are there (a few brown lines under the finish and no cracks or dents. These anomalies stem from the manufacturing process.

The vase bears an impressed flower-form hallmark. I was unable to pinpoint the maker, but perhaps you know!
