Very Fine 1906 Blue Robed Santa in Motor Card Christmas Postcard
The card depicts a somewhat wild-eyed and windblown Santa dressed in a blue robe with red cuffs and red hat. He is driving a motorized car (sleigh) that is jam packed with gifts for children (he is sitting nexts to a doll and on the back you can see all kinds of toys such as a soldier, a horse, drum, elephant, etc.). The saying contains "glyphs" (see photo enlargement) and says, "Be merry and full of joy, every girl and every boy May your stockings be full of good things, and your heart be gay as everybody sings A Merry Christmas". The words girl, boy, stockings, and heart are in the glyphs.
On the back is written "From Marion ??? Love, Duane. No cancellation or stamp. The box for the stamp asks for a 1 cent stamp.
