Arguably the definitive volume on the subject of Carl Faberge, this book by Henry Charles Bainbridge is at the very least, very interesting and extremely informative about "His Life and Work" (Faberge's, of course).
Bainbridge knew Faberge personally having first been introduced to him in 1904. Faberge felt a bond with Bainbridge and confided many interesting and edifying thoughts to him which are shared in this book.
The book is 167 pages with 128 photographic plates, some in color (most in black and white). The first edition was published in 1949. This is the 1971 edition produced by The Hamlyn Publishing Group Ltd.
The condition is excellent. Comes with the original dust cover which is covered in a plastic protector which we removed to check the condition of the cover which proved to be equally excellent condition. One photo shows the book with the dust jacket removed.
