Spectacular Robert DeMario Signed Necklace and Bracelet Set - FREE Shipping!

Here is my feeble attempt at not gushing over this spectacular necklace and bracelet set...

Are you aware that some of the more unique vintage glass beads such as found on this set sell for as much as $20-50 each! The historic information about Robert Demario reveals that he produced jewelry in the 1945-65 timeframe and I would suspect this set dates from the 1950s-60s period. Amazingly, that means these beads were produced, probably in Italy, not too long after WWII or about 46-66 years ago! And they look so modern that you would think you could go to Nieman's or Nordstrom's and find them there today!

Often compared to Miriam Haskell's work, DeMario was a contemporary and their styles do show similarities. If this was a Haskell set, it would sell for over $1,500.00 or more. In fact, at one point he and Stanley Hagler were considering partnering. Those three- Haskell, DeMario, and Hagler share many of the same qualities.

So back to this set...

The various shades of pink, lavender, and white are perfect for today's fashion trends. Those colors are represented by various shapes and sizes of handblown glass beads. Providing a counterpoint and interspersed amongst the glass beads are lusterous gray, white, and pink faux pearl beads that go from 10-12mm.

The fabulous clasp on the bracelet is encrusted with a group of the pink glass beads. The bracelet has 3 strands of beads. The bracelet measures 7 1/2". Shown clasped in the first photo.

The necklace is 2 stranded and measures 19" and can be made longer with the adjustable clasp.

Please look at the closeups or enlarge the photos so you can see the individual beads. My favorite is the shell-like pink bead. Which is yours?
