1930 Sterling Silver and Enamel Michelsen Christmas Fork Denmark

Many of my customers celebrate Christmas and include their children's/parents/grandchildren's birth years with these spoons/forks. A perfect way to celebrate and acknowledge each family member and start a tradition. A great way to create memories.

Sold mainly thru the Jensen shops in Denmark, the annual Christmas spoons and forks have been an outstanding Danish tradition since 1910. All pre-WWII pieces are hard to find and command commensurate prices. This fork is no exception. Designed by Arne Bang, it is entitled, "Christmas in Port". The clever design incorporates the very recognizable viking sails and Danish flag. I am not sure if the spire is a church spire but it certainly is a watchtower as it has a clock incorporated in the design. The companion spoon is listed separately. Excellent condition. No damages and lovely enamel work. Forks are no longer being produced.
