Antique Spode Orchid Plate Loelia Parpurata (#2)

This gorgeous plate dates from around 1910-20. The variety of orchid is identified on the reverse (see last photo) along with the Spode hallmark and the number 2 meaning it was number 2 in a series of plates on the same subject.

The artist signature appears on this and all of the remaining plates (other 7 are listed separately). His name is J. Price.

Excellent condition. Gold rimmed. 10 1/2" diameter. Combination of hand enamelling and transfer printing. Superb in every way!

The value for the complete set of 8 is easily $3,000.00. We have chosen to put these on sale now for the first time ever.
