This floral paperweight bears Bob Banford's signature cane and he was kind enough to date it to the mid-80's for me! He also indicated to me that he made very few of these weights with the white layer on the bottom. It is is mint condition.
Viewed from the side, the flower seems to float in mid air. The base features a clear cut starburst pattern and a layer of white glass. When looking directly down at the weight, the flower sits atop a white ground with the clear starburst pattern looking like sunrays surrounding the flower. It measures approx. 2 3/4" in diameter at the widest and over 2" high. If you are a collector of paperweights and you don't see any others listed on my site of interest to you, please email me and I will let you know what others might be left. I have listed a 1953 St. Louis and a 1975 Orient & Flume (with dragonfly decoration).
